Artist Bio
Kezia (pronounced like the continent Asia, but with a "K" at the start) is an Indonesian sci-fi and fantasy concept artist and illustrator focused on cinematic world-building and visual storytelling. Her work blends a painterly approach with digital techniques to create immersive environments, creatures, and narrative-driven scenes.
Storytelling remains central to her practice. She draws inspiration from both contemporary media and personal history. Science fiction film sparked her interest in creature design and cinematic imagery, while childhood experiences with folktales continue to influence her narrative voice. In researching these stories, she often turns to oral histories, directly from family members and archival materials, to capture nuances that written sources often miss.
Kezia is also deeply interested in environmental themes. While much of the conversation around sustainability emphasizes crisis, her work aims to emphasize progress.
Through her work, she invites viewers into places shaped by imagination, memory, and the realities of change. She tells stories of worlds that feel distant, yet familiar.
